"Courtney Mason is a graphic designer/ illustrator from Detroit Michigan. She has studied classes ranging anywhere from graphic design to photography and painting. Nevertheless, Courtney’s true love lay with the creation of digital art and design. “This media has given me the opportunity to accurately express my own personality and depict the elements that make this world beautiful."
Courtney’s illustrations are typically figurative, incorporating organic forms found throughout nature. “I am constantly being inspired by all that surrounds me, the love and support in my life is what drives me to continually reinvent myself.”
She has currently worked with clients such as Sony BMG / RCA Records, Hyundai, International Delight / Ten United, Ford Motor Company and George P. Johnson. She has also been featured in magazines such as Computer Arts Magazine, Digital Arts Magazine, Contemporary art magazine, FlavorPill, Carpal Tunnel Magazine, Breed Magazine, Phirebrush, Lost at E Minor, Infinitee Designs, Rasterized and Underwired magazine.
There is nothing in the world that I would rather be doing. I feel extremely fortunate to have found the one thing that I truly love doing. I wake up every morning excited about what I am doing and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for my life as an artist.
Courtney uses Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as her mater tools for creating art because she feels that the possibilities are endless when working with the computer. However, she sometimes incorporates watercolor and textures giving her art a mixed media feel. Courtney usually works with the computer but there are times she feels it is necessary to use traditional means to achieve the look she is going for."
